    Performances

Nara Rohit has done a good job as a protagonist, Chetan with a lot of zeal and energy. He effectively plays a political activist who is not afraid of fighting for his ‘cause’ and succeeds in this endeavour to help drive the movie through its biggest scene. Dinesh Tej as Chief Minister Viswa, adds a layer to the antagonist character, which is everything from smart yet wicked, calm and calculating. The role of the CBI officer played by Jisshu Sengupta contributes tension to the plot although he has limited dialogues in the entire movie, dominated by his poker-faced acting.

For the remaining cast actors like Sachin Khedekar, Tanikella Bharani, and Siri Lella glVertex the focus never wanders from Nara Rohit’s character where he transforms one character to another, that is the life of the movie.

    Direction and Cinematography

The political thriller is well-directed by Murthy Devagupthapu in Prathinidhi 2. As to the stylistic and evaluative features, one should mention his use of tension most of all, be it political drama or conflict. The tempo of the movie is mostly consistent although somewhat erratic to maintain the element of suspense. Altogether the political narrative is entertaining, though it might have been more focused, especially in the second part of the story.

The look of the film is captured effectively by cinematographer Nani Chamidisetty, both lighting and close-up shots give a sense of the tension of high stakes played out in a confined political sphere. All the scenes with the city and governmental buildings were captured in a manner that brightened up the behind-the-scenes conspiratorial activities which amplifies the suspense of the movie.

    Music

Mahati Swara Sagar is a melody which is in tune with the theme of the movie and supports the high-voltage dramas comprehensively. The choice of music is a little low profile but its placement is effective most, especially in the episodes when there is a confrontation. There are not many singing parts, yet songs increase the audience’s passion and alertness to the score. Although the soundtrack may not be the most striking in the movie it was useful during important scenes in the film.

    Themes and Message

Fundamentally, Prathinidhi 2 deals with the issue of political responsibility and the entity of a strong, freewheeling voice against corruption. This is a very nice work of stating that power indeed corrupts and that it is necessary to have a clear vision of what is going on in the government. The character created for Chetan depicts the kind of idealism and courage over ethnic degeneration despite the odds against the protagonist.

It also explores the private costs of social transformation as well. The story of Chetan also gives the message one has to bear a cost to become the leader and when one is on the right side he has to pay the price. Some of them relate to provoking the audience’s critical thinking about the current state of affairs and revealing the importance of an engaged and watchful citizenry for democracy.

    Conclusion

Prathinidhi 2 may not give the same kind of impact that was seen in the first one but the film is a decent political thriller provided by the hero Nara Rohit. While its plot might have been easier to reduce and perhaps could overshadow its themes the movie’s insight of fighting corruption and asserting power lies well ahead of the modern viewer. If you like watching political suspense dramas, then you would love this movie because of its good acting, very interesting topic behind the best soundtracks.
